Survived.

Apparently my external hard disc came back to life. Managed to save and transferred some of my pictures into my macbook pro, not all though cos it died on me again after a few minutes. All of the pictures are 2-4 months old and some of them I haven't even edited. I seriously need to get it fix. A lot of good stuff I have in there, not just pictures I took but movies and also tv series which I've downloaded all of it myself.

So above are some of the pictures that survived. Taken in the month of may during the Kaamatan festival at my dad's hometown in Kuala Penyu. My cousin took part in the Unduk Ngadau competition. I was supporting her all the way. Try again next year my love :D

Black and White

Sometimes, all of us need to see the simple side of things. It doesn't have to be all in technicolor. With only 2 colours, black and white have the ability to give a greater impact into a picture and makes it more dramatic. Less is definitely more.

This is another collaboration between Joel and I. I took the pictures and he retouched them using Adobe Photoshop. These pictures have been buried in my document for quite a long time and I just remembered about it this afternoon. I must say that I apologized for the lack of updates because of my laziness and not having the inspiration to take any pictures. Will try to update as much as I can, at least once a week.

I'll be sitting for my finals this sunday, hoping that it will go well and wish me luck!

The Justine Clan.

Picking up shells at the beach

I present to you my family, The Justine. These photos were taken way back in the month of May. Went back to my dad's hometown, Kuala Penyu to celebrate 'Kaamatan' also known as Harvest Festival. Dad decided to bring us to Sawangan Beach a few days later, grandma was with us too but she's camera shy so didn't have the chance to take her portrait. The weather was fine, a little bit windy but it didn't rain. My little brother and youngest sister behaved that day, no shouting and fighting with each other like they always do so my parents could have their tranquility for a little while. The kids were playing and picking up shells, the grownups chit chat under a tree nearby, and I was busy taking pictures of the sceneries. Too bad my younger sister wasn't there with us, she actually went back to Labuan on exactly the same to continue her study. Matriculation's school break sucks, not long enough for us to spend quality family time together.

Edited the photos in B&W to give a pinch of dramatic effect.

Overall, the day was fun. It was nice to be at the beach once in a while.
